    Location: Wokingham, Berkshire (RG40)
    Salary: £38k
    Contract: Full-time, Permanent

    Are you a passionate hospitality leader with a track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences across food & beverage and events operations? Our client, a prestigious venue set in the stunning Berkshire countryside, is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage / Conference & Events Manager to join their dynamic team.

    This iconic Grade II listed Victorian mansion hosts everything from corporate meetings and training workshops to luxury weddings and high-profile celebrations. With beautiful event spaces, including the largest ballroom in Berkshire accommodating up to 500 guests, this is a unique opportunity to work in one of the region’s most impressive venues.

    The Role

    In this hands-on and operationally focused position, you will take ownership of all food & beverage outlets and event delivery across the venue, ensuring exceptional service from planning through to execution. You will lead, develop, and inspire the team to exceed guest expectations, uphold brand standards, and support financial performance.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing day-to-day operations across events and F&B areas

    • Managing event setup, delivery, and breakdown to flawless standards

    • Leading and developing the F&B and events team to deliver premium service

    • Acting as the main on-site contact for clients and stakeholders

    • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations

    • Driving continual improvement and guest satisfaction

    • Supporting budget control, labour management, and inventory oversight

    About You

    We are looking for someone who brings:

    • Senior operational and senior management experience in a hospitality environment (Essential)

    • Experience in conference, events, and F&B operations within a 4- or 5-star hotel or premium venue

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train teams

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional organisation skills

    • Confidence liaising with clients and third-party partners

    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities

    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-driven schedules

    Preferred:

    • Degree or diploma in Hospitality/Event Management

    • First Aid or Health & Safety qualifications
