About the Role
As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for daily operations, commercial strategy, and team leadership. You'll lead from the front, working closely with your team across all departments to maintain the highest standards of guest service and drive sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:

Being a visible, supportive leader across all departments

Actively working service during busy trading periods (restaurant, tea room, pub, events)

Driving local engagement to boost footfall from the community

Growing meetings and event business through creative sales and packaging

Developing a successful wedding business utilising both large and intimate venues

Maximising festive trading opportunities (e.g. Christmas parties, NYE packages)

Recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing team

Managing day-to-day operations with a keen focus on profitability and guest satisfaction

Ensuring compliance across H&S, food safety, and fire regulations
What The Client Looking For

Previous experience as a General Manager, Deputy GM, or Operations Manager in a full-service hotel

Strong F&B background with event delivery expertise

A visible leader with a hands-on, service-driven approach

Track record of growing revenue through weddings, events, and dining

Excellent team leadership, recruitment, and performance management skills

Commercial awareness and financial acumen
