Role Description

We are seeking a commercially minded and well-connected Yacht Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Maritime Division. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone with knowledge of the yachting sector and a natural ability to connect with clients and crew alike.

You’ll lead a 360 recruitment desk, placing permanent and seasonal yacht crew across deck, engineering, interior, and galley departments, as well as shore-based roles. Business development will be key, as you identify new opportunities, build client trust, and deliver exceptional talent.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end recruitment of yacht crew (deck, interior, galley, and engineering), as well as shore-based maritime professionals

• Identify and engage new clients within yacht management companies, family offices, and vessel owners

• Proactively drive business development, through outbound calls, industry networking, events, and social media

• Interview and screen candidates, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and flag requirements

• Maintain up-to-date records on crew availability, certifications, and references

• Keep informed on industry trends, international crew movements, and seasonal hiring cycles

• Represent Poppletons at yachting events, crew shows, and networking functions

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in maritime or yacht recruitment — or a strong background as a yacht crew member (Captain, Chief Stew, Engineer, etc.)

• Demonstrated success in business development or B2B sales within a recruitment or yachting environment

• Deep understanding of crew roles, maritime operations, and yachting culture

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Motivated self-starter with a proactive, client-focused mindset

• Able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, international recruitment environment

Qualifications

• Experience in yachting, maritime staffing, or luxury recruitment

• Solid knowledge of STCW, MLC, and international crewing standards

• Strong sales, business development, or client management skills

• Fluent English (additional languages a plus)

• Relevant training or certifications in Maritime, Business, or Recruitment advantageous
